When You Become Blessed with Wealth
[9] I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

[17] Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

[35] But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

[9] Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;
[10] then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

[14] Counsel and sound judgment are mine;
I have insight, I have power.
[15] By me kings reign
and rulers issue decrees that are just;
[16] by me princes govern,
and nobles—all who rule on earth.
[17] I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me.
[18] With me are riches and honor,
enduring wealth and prosperity.
[19] My fruit is better than fine gold;
what I yield surpasses choice silver.
[20] I walk in the way of righteousness,
along the paths of justice,
[21] bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me
and making their treasuries full.

But mark this... in the last days of our lives...

[3] But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. [2] People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, [4] treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
[6] They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, [7] always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
