The Enemy of God

James 4:4

[4] You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Lamentations 2:5

[5] The Lord is like an enemy;

    he has swallowed up Israel.

He has swallowed up all her palaces

    and destroyed her strongholds.

He has multiplied mourning and lamentation

    for Daughter Judah.

Hebrews 10:26-27

[26] If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, [27] but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
