Raise Dead

Acts 20:9-12 [9] Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. [10] Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” [11] Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. [12] The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted. -------------------------------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Ancient News (was never about natural resources)

2 Kings 18:7-8 [7] And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him. [8] From watchtower to fortified city, he defeated the Philistines, as far as Gaza and its territory. --------------------------------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

The Israelite and the Jew

2 Kings 17:18-19 [18] So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah was left, [19] and even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God. They followed the practices Israel had introduced. ------------------------------------------- Romans 9:6 [6] It is not as though God’s word had failed. The Purpose of the Fool, the Weak, the Lowly, and the Despised

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 [26] Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. [27] But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. [28] God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, [29] so that no one may boast before him. [30] It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. [31] Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” ---------------------------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

An Arranged Marriage

Hosea 1:2-3 [2] When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, ‘Go, take for yourself a wife of whoredom and have children of whoredom, for the land commits great whoredom by forsaking the Lord.’ [3] So he went and took Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. ------------------------------ Keep the Faith. Psychopomp

Romans 7:4-6 [4] So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. [5] For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. [6] But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. ------------------------------ Keep the Faith. Two Women named Wisdom and Folly

Proverbs 9:1-12 ( Lady Wisdom ) [1] Wisdom has built her house;     she has set up its seven pillars. [2] She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine;     she has also set her table. [3] She has sent out her servants, and she calls     from the highest point of the city, [4]     “Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says, [5]     “Come, eat my food     and drink the wine I have mixed. [6] Leave your simple ways and you will live;     walk in the way of insight.” [7] Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults;     whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. [8] Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;     rebuke the wise and they will love you. [9] Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;     teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. [10] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,     and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. [11] For through wisdom your days will be many,     and years will be added to your life. [

A Prayer for One's Enemies

Psalm 143:7-12 [7] Answer me quickly, Lord;     my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me     or I will be like those who go down to the pit. [8] Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,     for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go,     for to you I entrust my life. [9] Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,     for I hide myself in you. [10] Teach me to do your will,     for you are my God; may your good Spirit     lead me on level ground. [11] For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;     in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. A Prayer for Prisoners

Psalm 142:1-7 [1] I cry aloud to the Lord;     I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. [2] I pour out before him my complaint;     before him I tell my trouble. [3] When my spirit grows faint within me,     it is you who watch over my way. In the path where I walk     people have hidden a snare for me. [4] Look and see, there is no one at my right hand;     no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge;     no one cares for my life. [5] I cry to you, Lord;     I say, “You are my refuge,     my portion in the land of the living.” [6] Listen to my cry,     for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me,     for they are too strong for me. [7] Set me free from my prison,     that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me     because of your goodness to me. ----------------------------------- Keep the Faith. A Prayer for Safety

Psalm 141:1-10 [1] I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;     hear me when I call to you. [2] May my prayer be set before you like incense;     may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. [3] Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;     keep watch over the door of my lips. [4] Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil     so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers;     do not let me eat their delicacies. [5] Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;     let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it,     for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers. [6] Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs,     and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken. [7] They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth,     so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.” [8] But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;     in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death. Cursing

2 Kings 2:22-25 [22] And the water has remained pure to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken. [23] From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” [24] He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. [25] And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria. ---------------------------- Keep the Faith. Everything in the World

The Priest that has enemies

Hebrews 10:11-14 [11] Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. [12] But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, [13] and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. [14] For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. -------------------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs

The Prophet that Lied

1 Kings 13:18-22 [18] The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (But he was lying to him.) [19] So the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house. [20] While they were sitting at the table, the word of the Lord came to the old prophet who had brought him back. [21] He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, “This is what the Lord says: ‘You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. [22] You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors.’” ----------------- Jeremiah 14:14 [14] Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. The Right Reasons to have Children

Psalm 127:3-5 [3] Children are a heritage from the Lord,     offspring a reward from him. [4] Like arrows in the hands of a warrior     are children born in one’s youth. Psalms for Prisoners

Psalm 107:10-16 [10] Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness,     prisoners suffering in iron chains, [11] because they rebelled against God’s commands     and despised the plans of the Most High. Animate Dead

Ezekiel 37:1-10 [1] The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. [2] He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. [3] He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” [4] Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! [5] This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. [6] I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” [7] So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.
