Wormwood the Comet

Revelation 8:10-11 [10] The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— [11] the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter. ----------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Action

James 2:14-17 [14] What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? [15] Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. [16] If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? [17] In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. -------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Showmanship

Luke 20:45-47 [45] While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples, [46] “Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. [47] They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.” ---------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Happy Michaelmas!

Blessings! https://www.goodcatholic.com/celebrating-the-great-feast-of-michaelmas/ Archive:  https://web.archive.org/web/20240531111252/https://www.goodcatholic.com/celebrating-the-great-feast-of-michaelmas/ In times past, the streets of the Catholic West rang with this greeting on the 29th of September. Just like Christmas—the “Mass of Christ”—so too does the term Michaelmas denote the “Mass of Michael,” that is, St. Michael the Archangel. In the current calendar, we celebrate all three Archangels this day—Sts. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael—and all the holy angels. But in former times, the three archangels had their own feast days, with today being the great and ancient feast of St. Michael the Archangel. Alone among the Archangels he possesses a first-class feast (for those who skip meat on Fridays, you know what that means—have a bacon burger today!).  -------------- Keep the Faith. A Prayer to Protect You from the Cruel

Psalm 71:1-6 [1] In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;     let me never be put to shame. [2] In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;     turn your ear to me and save me. [3] Be my rock of refuge,     to which I can always go; give the command to save me,     for you are my rock and my fortress. [4] Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,     from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel. [5] For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,     my confidence since my youth. [6] From birth I have relied on you;     you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.     I will ever praise you. ----------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Master and Servant

Ephesians 6:5-9 [5] Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. [6] Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. [7] Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, [8] because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. [9] And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. --------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

The Thoughts of God

Isaiah 55:7-9 [7] Let the wicked forsake their ways     and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,     and to our God, for he will freely pardon. [8] “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,     neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. [9] “As the heavens are higher than the earth,     so are my ways higher than your ways     and my thoughts than your thoughts. --------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Creator of the Destroyer

Isaiah 54:15-16 [15] If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;     whoever attacks you will surrender to you. [16] “See, it is I who created the blacksmith     who fans the coals into flame     and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; ------------- Jeremiah 15:3 [3] “I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” declares the Lord, “the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy. ------------- Keep the Faith. Illumination

Ephesians 5:8-20 [8] For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light [9] (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) [10] and find out what pleases the Lord. [11] Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. [12] It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. [13] But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. [14] This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper,     rise from the dead,     and Christ will shine on you.” [15] Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, [16] making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. [17] Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. [18] Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, [19] speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and ma

The Right Partner

Ephesians 5:3-7 [3] But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. [4] Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. [5] For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. [6] Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. [7] Therefore do not be partners with them. ---------- Keep the Faith. The Prophecy on Mashiach - 1st Coming

Isaiah 53:2-12 [2] He grew up before him like a tender shoot,     and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,     nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. [3] He was despised and rejected by mankind,     a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces     he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. [4] Surely he took up our pain     and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,     stricken by him, and afflicted. [5] But he was pierced for our transgressions,     he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him,     and by his wounds we are healed. [6] We all, like sheep, have gone astray,     each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him     the iniquity of us all. [7] He was oppressed and afflicted,     yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,     and as a sheep before its shearers is sil

1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 [20] Do not treat prophecies with contempt [21] but test them all; hold on to what is good, [22] reject every kind of evil. ----------------- Psalm 37:8 [8] Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;     do not fret—it leads only to evil. ----------------- Ephesians 6:12 [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ----------------- Matthew 5:36-37 [36] And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. The Ascended Master

Acts 1:6-11 [6] Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” [7] He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. [8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” [9] After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. [10] They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. [11] “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” ------------- God bless and best regards, Brother Ron, N.D.S.M.D.

Hello. This is a series of posts where I would be suggesting a book for you to read to help you gain the trust of the 'thought police'. I must admit that most of the books that I would be suggesting would be complimentary to the  Septuagint  ( LXX / Seventy ) and the  Bible  in general, to help you strengthen your Faith in God. Somewhere over the Universe

Ephesians 4:7-14 [7] But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. [8] This is why it says: “When he ascended on high,     he took many captives     and gave gifts to his people.” [9] (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? [10] He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) [11] So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, [12] to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up [13] until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. [14] Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. ------------- Important read #1: Fre

Sorcery, Astrology and Stargazing

Isaiah 47:12-14 [12] “Keep on, then, with your magic spells     and with your many sorceries,     which you have labored at since childhood. Perhaps you will succeed,     perhaps you will cause terror. [13] All the counsel you have received has only worn you out!     Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month,     let them save you from what is coming upon you. Gentile or Jew

Ephesians 3:6 [6] This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. ----------- Romans 3:22-24 [22] This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, [23] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, [24] and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. ----------- Keep the Faith. A Prayer for Blessings

Psalm 67:1-7 [1] May God be gracious to us and bless us     and make his face shine on us— [2] so that your ways may be known on earth,     your salvation among all nations. [3] May the peoples praise you, God;     may all the peoples praise you. [4] May the nations be glad and sing for joy,     for you rule the peoples with equity     and guide the nations of the earth. The Kingdom of the Air

Ephesians 2:1-5 [1] As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, [2] in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. [3] All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. [4] But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, [5] made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. ----------- Keep the Faith. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,     I will have no regard for them. [23] Away with the noise of your songs!     I will not listen to the music of your harps. A Prayer of Gratitude

Psalm 65:2-8 [2] You who answer prayer,     to you all people will come. [3] When we were overwhelmed by sins,     you forgave our transgressions. [4] Blessed are those you choose     and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house,     of your holy temple. [5] You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,     God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth     and of the farthest seas, [6] who formed the mountains by your power,     having armed yourself with strength, [7] who stilled the roaring of the seas,     the roaring of their waves,     and the turmoil of the nations. The Acts of the Flesh versus the Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:16-26 [16] So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. [17] For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. [18] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. [19] The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; [20] idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions [21] and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. [24] Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. [25] Since we live by the Spirit, l

Sin 101

Romans 5:20-21 [20] The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. Only If You Belong

Galatians 3:28-4:11 {3} [28] There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. {4} [1] What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. [2] The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. [3] So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. [4] But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, [5] to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. [6] Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” [7] So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. [8] Formerly, when you

Not all Preachers are the same

Galatians 1:6-9 [6] I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— [7] which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. [8] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! [16] The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. [5] Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;     let your glory be over all the earth. [6] They spread a net for my feet—     I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path—     but they have fallen into it themselves. [7] My heart, O God, is steadfast,     my heart is steadfast;     I will sing and make music. [8] Awake, my soul!     Awake, harp and lyre!     I will awaken the dawn. [9] I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;     I will sing of you among the peop

The God of Love and Peace

2 Corinthians 13:11-14 [11] Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. [12] Greet one another with a holy kiss. [13] All God’s people here send their greetings. [14] May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. --------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

The Fate of the Wicked

Isaiah 14:19-21 [19] But you are cast out of your tomb     like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain,     with those pierced by the sword,     those who descend to the stones of the pit. Like a corpse trampled underfoot, [20]     you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land     and killed your people. Let the offspring of the wicked     never be mentioned again. [21] Prepare a place to slaughter his children     for the sins of their ancestors; they are not to rise to inherit the land     and cover the earth with their cities. --------------- Isaiah 57:21 [21] “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” --------------- NOTE: Who are the wicked? When the Lord is angry

Isaiah 13:9-19 [9] See, the day of the Lord is coming     —a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger— to make the land desolate     and destroy the sinners within it. [10] The stars of heaven and their constellations     will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened     and the moon will not give its light. [11] I will punish the world for its evil,     the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty     and will humble the pride of the ruthless. [12] I will make people scarcer than pure gold,     more rare than the gold of Ophir. [13] Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;     and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty,     in the day of his burning anger. [14] Like a hunted gazelle,     like sheep without a shepherd, they will all return to their own people,     they will flee to their native land. [15] Whoever is captured will be thrust through;     all who are caught will fall by the sword. [16] Their infan

Cost of Living

Proverbs 23:6-8 [6] Do not eat the food of a begrudging host,     do not crave his delicacies; [7] for he is the kind of person     who is always thinking about the cost. “Eat and drink,” he says to you,     but his heart is not with you. [8] You will vomit up the little you have eaten     and will have wasted your compliments. ------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

How we are stopped from being conceited

2 Corinthians 12:6-10 [6] Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, [7] or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. [8] Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. [9] But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. [10] That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ------------- Keep the Faith. Esoteric

2 Corinthians 12:2-4 [2] I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. [3] And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— [4] was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell. ---------------- Keep the Faith. Beware of Food

Proverbs 23:1-3 [1] When you sit to dine with a ruler,     note well what is before you, [2] and put a knife to your throat     if you are given to gluttony. [3] Do not crave his delicacies,     for that food is deceptive. ----------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

A Prayer for Deliverance

Psalm 54:1-7 [1] Save me, O God, by your name;     vindicate me by your might. [2] Hear my prayer, O God;     listen to the words of my mouth. [3] Arrogant foes are attacking me;     ruthless people are trying to kill me—     people without regard for God. [4] Surely God is my help;     the Lord is the one who sustains me. [5] Let evil recoil on those who slander me;     in your faithfulness destroy them. [6] I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;     I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good. [7] You have delivered me from all my troubles,     and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes. ------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

Just some of what the Lord can take away

Isaiah 3:16-26 [16] The Lord says,     “The women of Zion are haughty, walking along with outstretched necks,     flirting with their eyes, strutting along with swaying hips,     with ornaments jingling on their ankles. [17] Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion;     the Lord will make their scalps bald.” [18] In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces, [19] the earrings and bracelets and veils, [20] the headdresses and anklets and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms, [21] the signet rings and nose rings, [22] the fine robes and the capes and cloaks, the purses [23] and mirrors, and the linen garments and tiaras and shawls. [24] Instead of fragrance there will be a stench;     instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;     instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;     instead of beauty, branding. [25] Your men will fall by the sword,     your warriors in battle. [26] The gate

Unimpressive

2 Corinthians 10:9-11 [9] I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters. Divine

2 Corinthians 10:2-4 [2] I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. [3] For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. [4] The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. ---------------- Keep the Faith. Best regards, Bro. Rontabs, N.D.S.M.D.

When Your Hands are full of Blood

Isaiah 1:12-17 [12] When you come to appear before me,     who has asked this of you,     this trampling of my courts? [13] Stop bringing meaningless offerings!     Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations—     I cannot bear your worthless assemblies. [14] Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals     I hate with all my being. They have become a burden to me;     I am weary of bearing them. [15] When you spread out your hands in prayer,     I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers,     I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! [16] Wash and make yourselves clean.     Take your evil deeds out of my sight;     stop doing wrong. [17] Learn to do right; seek justice.     Defend the oppressed. A Broken Spirit

Darkened by the Sun

Song of Songs 1:4-7 [4] Take me away with you—let us hurry!     Let the king bring me into his chambers. Friends We rejoice and delight in you;     we will praise your love more than wine. She How right they are to adore you! [5] Dark am I, yet lovely,     daughters of Jerusalem, dark like the tents of Kedar,     like the tent curtains of Solomon. [6] Do not stare at me because I am dark,     because I am darkened by the sun. My mother’s sons were angry with me     and made me take care of the vineyards;     my own vineyard I had to neglect. [7] Tell me, you whom I love,     where you graze your flock     and where you rest your sheep at midday. [30] Those who linger over wine,     who go to sample bowls of mixed wine. [31] Do not gaze at wine when it is red,     when it sparkles in the cup,     when it goes down smoothly!
